Decree prescribing the burgee of the Yacht Clubs of the Navy

The burgee of the Yacht Clubs of the Navy is prescribed by Decree No. 173 on the Organization and Management of the Yacht Clubs of the Navy, adopted on 28 June 2000 by the Direction du Personnel Militaire de la Marine (DPM).

Chapter VII. Miscellaneous provisions.
[...]
Article 40. The colours of the Yacht Clubs are made of a triangular pennant matching the model appended to the document. Only the initial of the port of call, placed in the upper corner, distinguishes the different clubs.

Appendix.

Dimensions.
a) Hoist: 4 cm per m of height counted from water to the truck or the spreader, depending whether it is a triangular pennant hoisted on the mast head or on the spreader.
b) Length: The length shall be twice the hoist.

Initial of the port of call.
B = Brest. C = Cherbourg. L = Lorient. T = Toulon.

Example: Triangular pennant of the yacht club of the Navy at Toulon.

The image given as the example has 5:8 proportions instead of the prescribed 1:2, while Album des Pavillons [pay00] shows the burgee with 2:3 proportions. So does the website of the Yacht Clubs of the Navy.
