The coat of arms of Belisario DomÃnguez was designed by the architect Humberto Murillo Lozano, being approved by the council on 13 June 1989. Description according to Héraldica Municipal de Chihuahua:
Resolved on vertical rectangle (Spanish field), that of which is sliced by the San Lorenzo River, Carretas, and San Pedro, it is also chopped by 3 edges of oak leaves, alligator juniper, and mesquite, the first three are placed because of the benefits which are left at their passing by the municipality, the edges in reference to their flora, its blazons are: An effigy of a Spaniard forward to the effigy of a Tarahumara which signifies the fusion of two cultures, the Temple of Nuestra Señora de los Remedios [Our Lady of the Remedies] represents Catholicism, the symbol of the Jesuits which evangelized the region, a cloud symbolizing the hope in water of the rain; cattle-raising is represented by a bovine livestock head, a bean and cob represent agriculture, the year 1642 is the year of foundation of San Lorenzo which was its original name [the name in a ribbon crowning the shield], its motto is "Unidad, Trabajo y Progreso" [Unity, Work, and Progress; found in a ribbon below the shield].
At the top of the bordure is "DR. BELISARIO DOMINGUEZ CHIHUAHUA", with the code 08 to the left for the state and 022 to the right for the municipality; these are codes used by INEGI for statistical purposes.
