The arms are Argent, an orange tree eradicated Vert fruited tawny, in chief a Christ Knights’ Order's cross between an 8-point star Azure at dexter and a fleur-de-lis Azure at sinister. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "TERRA CHÃ".

Terra Chã Commune is one of the 19 communes of the Angra do Heroísmo municipality (q.v.); it had 2915 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 10.5 km².
