Shield Or with base wavy of Azure and Argent, a pine Vert, eradicated and trunked Sable, in chief a palm frond Gules set in fess. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "OLO - AMARANTE".

Presentation of Olo

Olo Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Amarante Municipality; it had 371 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 6.6 km².

Coat of arms

Shield parted by a bar wavy Argent, charged with a barrulet wavy Azure, chief Gules, a pair of keys in saltire, tied Argent, one key Argent and the other Or, base Vert, a donkey passant Argent, bridled Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "CANADELO".
Meaning:
The keys are an attribute of St. Peter, the local patron saint.
