Coat of arms

Shield Gules with base wavy of Argent and Azure, a bull passant Or armed Sable, in chief a Latin cross Sable nimbed Argent and flanked by two oak twigs Or with the acorns' capsules Argent, Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "ALVARENGA - AROUCA".
