    Shield Vert a fountain Argent and in orle beanstalk blooming Argent. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "FREGUESIA DE CASTRO DAIRE".
    Meaning:
    The beanstalk is a symbol of agriculture. The fountain is a representation of thre local well Fonte dos Peixes (=fountain of fish).

    Castro Daire is one of the 11 communes of Castro Daire Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes. It had 4557 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 32,53 km².
