It is a typical Portuguese communal flag with the coat of arms centred on a field quartered of blue and white.

Coat of Arms

Shield Argent four fleurs-de-lis Azure ordered 1:2:1, on base a ridge Vert garnished Or with five peaks superimposed by a bar wavy of Argent over Azure over Argent. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "MÕES - CASTRO DAIRE".

Presentation of Mões

Mões is one of the 11 communes of Castro Daire Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes. It had 1691 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 20,46 km².
