It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain golden yellow field.

Coat of arms

Shield Vert, a sheaf of rye Or tied Argent, in chief two keys crossed per saltire - the bendy key Or and the sinister bendy key Argent, base wavy of Argent and Azure, the wave Azure charges with two fish Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "SEIXAS - CAMINHA".
The crossed keys are an attribute of St. Peter, the local patron saint.

Seixas Commune is one of the 14 communes of the Caminha municipality (q.v.); it had 1502 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 4.4 km².
