It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain white field.

Coat of arms

Shield Azure with base wavy of Argent and Azure, issuant from base an irregular bar Tawny charged with rocks Sable, crowned by a windmill Argent flanked by a radiant sun Or at dexter and a vaning crescent Or, both having a face, chief Gules charged with inscription in black initials "AL-QA-BDAQ". Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and red scroll with inscription in black initials: "FREGUESIA DE ALCABIDECHE".

Presentation of Alcabideche

Alcabideche Commune is one of the four communes of the Cascais municipality (q.v.); it had 42 162 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 39.8 km².
