Coat of arms

Shield Azure with base wavy of Azure and Argent crowned by a triplemount Or, in chief two keys -the bendy one Argent, the sinister bendy one Or- crossed per saltire flanked by a 5-point star Argent at dexter and a watermill's wheel Or at sinister. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "MANTEIGAS - S. PEDRO".
Meaning:
The triplemount and the star (Port.: estrela) are representing the Estrela Mountains. The keys are an attribute of St. Peter, name giver of the commune and local patron saint. The watermill's wheel is symbolizing industry. The base wavy is representing Zêzere River. The riches of water are the foundation of local economy.
