Coat of arms

Shield Argent with base wavy of Argent and Azure, issuant from base a mountain Vert, charged with a millwheel Sable rigged Or and chained Sable, in chief a pair of scales Gules balanced by a flamy sword Gules hilted Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "LAVRADAS - PONTE DA BARCA"
Meaning:
Scales and sword are attributes of St. Michael, the local patron saint.
