Coat of arms

Shield Vert with base wavy of Azure and Argent, issuant from base a mountain Argent, in chief a palm leaf Or tied Argent. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "QUATRO RIBEIRAS".
Meaning:
The base wavy consists of four blue waves and four white waves. They are probably canting, the name of the commune means "four banks".

Quatro Ribeiras Commune is one of the 11 communes of the Praia da Vitória municipality (q.v.); it had 394 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 13.1 km².
