Coat of arms

Shield Argent with base wavy of Vert, Argent and Azure, issuant from base an "upstream boat" (Port.: "barco de rio acima" ) Sable rigged Vert, in chief a throughout metal bridge Sable with three panel sheets Azure. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "DARQUE".
The base wavy is symbolizing the mouth of Lima River.

Darque Commune is one of the urban communes among the 27 communes of the Viana do Castelo municipality (q.v.); it had 7817 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 6.6 km².
