From the site of Ukrainian Heraldry:
"In a purple field is the or heart, punched by two argent arrows crosswise, accompanied by the or paty cross above. The emblem adorned by or decorative cartouche and crowned by an or rural crown. In the royal privilege from 1625 about granting of the Magdebourg right did not mention about the city arms. It was not possible to find out any seal of city. But it is known cossack's seal from the document of 1757. Probably, this emblem occurs from the personal arms of one of colonels. Similar marks had, for example, Ukrainian families of Butovych, Getyn, Honcharevs'ky, Polubotok. The image of the heart topped or accompanied with a cross and punched arrows, sabres rather frequently meets in Ukrainian heraldry. (<www.brovary-region.com.ua/silrada/silrada.htm>)."
