The Flag

The Heiltsuk or Haɫzaqv sometimes historically referred to as Bella Bella, are an Indigenous people of the Central Coast region in British Columbia, centred on the island community of Bella Bella. The government of the Heiltsuk people is the Heiltsuk Nation, though the term is also used to describe the community. Its largest community is Bella Bella.

The Heiltsuk (Haɫzaqv) are the main descendants of Haɫzaqvḷa(Heiltsuk)-speaking people and identify as being from one or more of five tribal groups: W̓yalitx̌v (Wuyalitxv) (Seaward Tribe or Seaward Division; outside water people), Q̓vqvay̓itx̌v (Qvuqvayaitxv) (Calm Water Tribe or Calm Water Division), W̓u̓ƛ̓itx̌v (Wuithitxv) (Roscoe Inlet Tribe; inside water people), Y̓sditx̌v (Yisdaitxv) (The Y̓sd Tribe, People of Y̓sd (Yisda), where mountains meet the sea or Mackenzie Park Division, near Elcho Harbour on Dean Channel), and the X̌x̌s (Xixis / Xaixais) (Northern/Downriver Tribe, originally residing in Qnat (Kynoch) or Kynoch Inlet Division).

I found three flags for the Heiltsuk Nation. The green one is from unknown date taken from Wikimedia. The second is from 2013, and the third is from 2019.
