Manching Coat of Arms

Renaissance shield parted per pale; at dexter Argent a key Sable in pale, at sinister Azure a prehistoric fastening hook Or in pale.
Meaning:
The town is famous for excavations, as it had been a great settlement of the Celts, which probably had been extincted by the Romans in 15 BC. The fastener belonged to a celtic belt and was found in 1937. The key is an attribute of St. Peter, the local patron saint. The basic tinctures are those of Bayern.
