It is a vertical 5-stripes banner red-white-blue-white-red with ratio of stripes approx. 1:1:9:1:1. The coat of arms is shifted to the top within the central stripe.

Coat of Arms

Shield Argent a bend wavy Azure, accompanied by seven 6-point stars Gules, four in sinister chief and three in dexter base.
The bend wavy is representing Haune, the name giving creek. The stars are representing the seven villages of Hauneck: Bodes, Eitra, Fischbach, Oberhaun, Rotensee, Sieglos and Unterhaun.
