Holzkirch Coat of Arms

Shield Gules with base Vert, above a church Argent surrounded by a wall Argent with port of the same.
The church is canting, as the name of the municipality means "church in the wood". The colours red and white had been those of the Margraves of Burgau and their successors, the Counts of Werdenberg, local rulers until 1385.
