Höttingen Coat of Arms

Shield Argent, parted by a cross Sable, charged with a cross fleury Or, mantled, at dexter Gules a crozier issuant Argent in pale, at sinister Azure a helmet Argent crested by the torso of a hind Or.
Meaning:
Höttingen was established in 1978 by a merger of Höttingen proper, Fiegenstall and Weiboldshausen. The black cross is representing Höttingen proper and is alluding to the rule of the Teutonic Order, which acquired its first local estates in 1492. The crozier is alluding to the rule of the Bishopric of Eichstätt over Fiegenstall. Helm and hind are taken from the arms of the Lords of Hausen, local rulers in Weiboldshausen. The arms are known from the tombstone of Hans of Hausen in the local parish church. He died in 1427.
