Old Provincial Symbol

From: http://culture.chonbuk.kr/:

Provincial Symbol

[Old Symbol of Jeollabuk-do]

The upper part, by and large, represents the enterprising spirit of the inhabitants of the province. The red color stands for the strong enthusiasm of the inhabitants of the province. The green color stands for our beautiful scenery. The yellow color stands for the peace.

The dark blue curved line of the lower part appears the letter 'Chon' of Chonbuk (North Cholla Province) to be lain, shapes the waving West Sea, and stands for our province Chollabuk-do which is rising leading parts in the Yellow Sea Age.

Dov Gutterman, 15 March 1999
